Taken all but straight on with soft side light and plain backdrop – because the face and the lavish dress are dramatic enough – these were inspired choices on the part of the studio photographer. It is not a large print.
This face surely had admirers. Her age is hard to guess, perhaps 18 - 24? If many complexions were like this, cosmetics companies would be bankrupt.
